Affiliate Page Pro Version 3 Released

It’s been a long time coming in fact 13 months between releases for Affiliate Page Pro. Now at version 3 this software that creates great affiliate tools pages that integrate email capture for your affiliates, just got even better.

I initially created this software with Paul Kleinmeulman another Aussie internet marketer, and since then have rewritten the software from the ground up and now have introduced the ability to offer a free trial, just like all my other software.

This release brings the software up-to-date with the new Adobe AIR releases that have happened over the last 18 months.

Since this is a new version Affiliate Page Pro 3 will install separately. You can uninstall the old Affiliate Page Pro 2 version at any stage.

You can’t obviously upgrade while running Affiliate Page Pro 2 using the inbuilt upgrader. So simply go to the download page (emailed to you) and install the new version.

If you require your license to be reset you can now action this on your own without needing to contact support.

This release will pave the way for any new features added in the future.

So I urge you to upgrade now, and then future minor updates will be seemless once again from within the application.

Script Smart Version 4 Released

It’s been a long time coming in fact 13 months between releases for Script Smart. The internet marketers toolbox that has lots of scripts and helpful applications to boost your sales / conversions from your website.

To this day, I personally still use this software about once a month. Usually for the email encoding script but sometimes the countdown and last chance scripts as well. And the colour wheel.

Some of the scripts that were cutting edge in 2006 have been knocked off and marketed individually over the years. I always chuckle when I see it, but they provided a solution just as I have, so I don’t begrudge them at all.

To think I initally created this software back in 2006, and it’s now in it’s 4th incarnation. I look at the videos of myself that I have on the download page and the affiliate page and I look so young and fresh. 🙂 How times have changed.

This release brings the software up-to-date with the new Adobe AIR released that have happened over the last 18 months.

Since this is a new version Script Smart 4 will install separately. You can uninstall the old Script Smart 3 version at any stage.

You can’t obviously upgrade while running Script Smart 3 using the inbuilt upgrader. So simply go to the download page (emailed to you) and install the new version.

If you require your license to be reset you can now action this on your own without needing to contact support.

Are you using Banners in WordPress for Extra Revenue?

If you are like me and have any blogs that have banners on them, then you will be interested in this review.

By far the easiest plugin that I’ve found to handle banner advertisting on WordPress, has been Max Banner Ads by Max Blog Press.

What I like about it is that it’s all point and click. No need to muck around with the theme code.

I’ve been using it for the last 1 1/2 years on my niche blogs to display advertisting.

A couple of examples.

On one of my sites I have two sidebar widgets setup to handle larger block ads and the smaller 125×125 little blocks and I’m using the Max Banner Ads automation to put a 468×60 at the top of the first blog post. These formulate my Gold, Silver and Bronze advertising packages for private business. Yes direct advertisting pays better than adsense!

On another of my sites I have three 300×300 banner spots embedded around the theme, and I just copied and pasted the code that Max Banner Ads generated into the theme at the spots I needed. Once again direct business advertising is a winner over adsense.

It’s all managed by a simple admin interface.

The banners all rotate evenly within their groupings. So it’s fair time share between the spots.

Plus it has built in statistics so I can see how many views and my click through stats. Which of course then I pass along that info to my business advertisters.

They have two version a free version with a nag line “powered by Max Banner Ads” and a pro version.

They have made it simple to affiliate via Clickbank, so you can of course add in your clickbank ID to the nag line on the free version.

I must admit when I first registered for the free version they were moving servers or something like that and my registration wasn’t accepted for about 2 weeks. But after contacting support they sorted it out and I’ve been happy ever since.

They have a video and screen shots and more explaination on their website – Max Banner Ads.

If you are looking for a way to display multiple banners or even just one on your blog, try it out you’ll be happy you did.
